Empowering Young Minds: A Look Back at Black History Month Highlights

This February, The Gents' Foundation (TGF) celebrated Black History Month by empowering young leaders, laying a foundation for continued support and development.

Here's a glimpse into some of our activities:

January 31st:

Empowering the Future: Visit to Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy (BELA): We visited BELA, a high school dedicated to empowering young women, and led discussions on career navigation, personal development, and civic engagement. These brilliant young ladies will join our spring mentorship program.

February 2nd:

Our Founder, William Pierre-Louis, Jr., led the "RiseUp: Empowering Teens Workshop" at CSW, focusing on financial literacy, professional attire, and personal development. Engaging discussions revealed the participants' passion for growth and community impact.

February 13th:

We released a research paper highlighting the financial literacy crisis among young people of color in America and proposing solutions to bridge the knowledge gap.

February 17th:

Partnered with Crowned Scholars, a non-profit empowering Black boys, to lead a conversation on fashion, civic engagement, and self-expression at the African American Museum of Dallas. The boys' insightful questions and dedication to positive change were inspiring.

February 21st:

Our founder, William Pierre-Louis, Jr., visited the Children's Inn to introduce TGF's programs to the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) patients group, showcasing our commitment to supporting and empowering young minds.
